Knight Logistics

The primary objective of this project was to enhance the success of Knight/Swift drivers in their daily operations by redesigning their internal driver application to improve user experience and interface. An analysis of the existing application revealed several design deficiencies, leading us to prioritize improvements in four critical areas: tracking current and past loads, monitoring payment status, and enabling open communication with dispatchers while on the move.

The redesigned application has proven to be successful. Additionally, we revamped the dashboard to offer a more efficient interface, enabling dispatchers to monitor drivers at every stage of their journey and enhancing organizational capabilities for load assignments to drivers.

Persona

Persona

To enhance user insights, we initiated the process by developing user personas and conducting interviews with drivers who exemplified the targeted user type. Each persona was designed with specific scenarios and process flows that reflected their distinct needs, motivations, and behaviors.

User story

User story

Through conducting user research and developing user personas, we gained insights into the primary needs, motivations, and behaviors of our users. With this comprehensive information, my team and I were equipped to formulate the user story effectively.

After getting the go-ahead for the project idea, I started creating the wireframe layout for both the driver app and the dashboard that goes along with it.
