Arizona Game and Fish Department

As the Art Director of the department, I aimed to implement a subtle evolution in our design process and brand style guide. I introduced the use of illustrations and silhouettes to complement our extensive photo library while effectively conveying our core messages. The design presented below was utilized as wallpaper for some occasions and served as a background for virtual meetings on platforms such as Zoom and Google Meet.

Arizona Wildlife View - AWV

The Arizona Wildlife View is a bi-monthly magazine that was previously designed by a third-party agency. A few months after assuming my position, I successfully facilitated the transition of the publication to an entirely in-house operation, granting my team and me complete oversight and control over the design execution.

I oversaw the implementation of the design for this campaign, which received positive feedback from the public. The primary objective was to raise awareness regarding the proliferation of quagga mussels and other aquatic invasive species in various lakes throughout the state of Arizona.

A digital fishing campaign was executed with considerable success, particularly in the context of recovery following the lockdowns imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This initiative effectively appealed to individuals seeking opportunities to reconnect with their families and participate in outdoor activities. Consequently, sales of fishing licenses experienced an increase of 15%.

This awareness campaign was designed to educate the public regarding the critical importance of safety measures, with a particular emphasis on the necessity of wearing seat belts in vehicles and helmets while cycling or engaging in similar activities. The initiative aims to remind individuals that these straightforward actions can significantly mitigate the risk of injury and ultimately save lives.
